Itinerary
Start of the Tour
We begin with pickup from your hotel between 07:30 and 08:00 hrs. We will take the scenic route towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, recognized for its thousand-year-old terraces, meandering rivers, and villages that preserve their Andean essence.
Chinchero
Our first visit is Chinchero, a high-altitude village where we will visit a traditional textile workshop. You will see up close how fibers are washed, dyed, and woven with plants and minerals, just as the ancient Andean masters did.
Maras and Salt Mines
We continue towards Maras (approx. 40 min), home to the famous Salt Mines. More than 3,000 active ponds form a unique mosaic on the hillside, a perfect setting for photographs and to understand the importance of the salt trade since pre-Hispanic times.
Urubamba and Lunch
We head to Urubamba, the heart of the valley, to enjoy a buffet lunch with local flavors. It will be the ideal time to recover energy and appreciate the natural surroundings among mountains.
Seminario Ceramics
After lunch, we will enter the renowned Seminario Ceramics workshop. We will observe handmade pieces that fuse ancestral techniques with contemporary proposals, a dialogue between tradition and modern art.
Ollantaytambo
We continue towards Ollantaytambo, the "Living Inca City". We will ascend through the terraces to the Temple of the Sun to contemplate spectacular views of the valley and understand the engineering, astronomy, and urban planning of the Inca world.
Return to Cusco
Upon finishing, we return to Cusco and enter the historic center, ideal for closing the day with a walk or a dinner in the Plaza de Armas.
